About this Event

Our annual Professional Development & Leadership Institute consists of critical courses designed and delivered by top presenters from national and local arenas.

Each course coaches participants seeking career development strategies, upward professional mobility, financial literacy at different levels, small business opportunities, healthy lifestyles and chronic disease prevention, life transition challenges resources and leadership opportunities available at local, regional and national sectors.

Topic area speakers are secured annually to deliver best practices and new ideas on personal empowerment and confidence to move forward.

Youth Leadership Institute

About this Event

The Youth Leadership Institute workshops are designed to motivate and encourage middle and high school students in Metro Phoenix to engage in dynamic sessions which will equip them with the tools and skills necessary to achieve their personal and academic goals.

A major emphasis will be placed on course selection, importance of STEM and career opportunity, and financial literacy in preparation for college. Interpersonal skill development to assess their communication skills, conflict resolution skills with parents and bullying situations, driver safety issues, volunteer opportunities will also be presented.

Comprehensive academic and scholarship opportunities information are made available to the students. Career options in specified areas are highlighted. This institute is free of charge to attendees.

The Hispanic Women’s Corporation has stepped up to the challenge of promoting community change and innovation via scholarships.

We have been privileged in giving back to the Arizona communities more than $30 million dollars in scholarship form. Each year the we celebrate a group of 50 scholars during the HWC Scholarship Benefit Luncheon.
